Survival Group has been granted a waiver from the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development to continue training operations because many healthcare providers are concerned that they may not be able to continue working if their ACLS, BLS, PALS, etc certifications lapse.

In order to to provide a safe environment for our customers and staff, we will be following the recommendations issued by the American Heart Association which flexibility for training during heightened precautions for COVID-19 for the forseeable future. You can access a copy on our website.

To reduce the risk of passing along illnesses to others we will only be offering blended, e-learning programs with 1-on-1 skills testing. Traditional instructor led training is still on hold until the risk of cross infection diminishes.

If you are having any signs of illness (cough, runny nose, fever or other symptoms) or have had these symptoms within the past 24 hours, you should not attend class and reschedule your training.

HeartCode ACLS is the AHA’s ACLS blended learning delivery method. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session.  

Blended learning uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, team dynamics training, megacode cases, and interactive activities to teach students ACLS knowledge and skills.

The ACLS Provider Course Completion Card is valid for two years

The Advanced Life Support Blended Learning program combines online coursework with an in-person skills session – so you can take them when and where you like – and on the device that suits you best. Throughout the course, our interactive scenarios will help you understand the science behind ALS and the finer points of providing care, and improve your clinical decision-making skills. With the online class complete, and after passing your final written exam, you'll attend an in-person skills session – where you'll meet with a certified Red Cross instructor and demonstrate your ALS skills. After passing both sections of the course, you'll receive a two-year ALS certificate.

The AHA’s ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving BLS skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

The ACLS Instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics.

The 2019 Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child and infant patients. Consistent with the 2015 AHA Guidelines for CPR/ECC, BLS is the foundational CPR/AED program typically required for healthcare providers and public safety professionals.Through the use of lecture, skills demonstration, practice and case-based emergency response scenarios with a focus on team-based response, BLS builds the key critical thinking, problem solving, and team dynamic skills that are needed to drive better patient outcomes.Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a 2-year Basic Life Support digital certificate with anytime, anywhere access to certificate and training history.

This course is for people that have purchased their own HeartCode BLS online key.  You are required to have completed the HeartCode online portion prior to attending this session.

BLS is geared towards prehospital providers, like EMTs, paramedics, fire fighters, and in-facility hospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

HeartCode BLS is the AHA’s BLS blended eLearning delivery method. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on skills session.

The online portion of HeartCode BLS can be completed in approximately 1 to 2 hours.

Time to complete the hands-on skills session varies from 60 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the experience of the student.

BLS is geared towards prehospital providers, like EMTs, paramedics, fire fighters, and in-facility hospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

This Instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics.

Full BLS Provider Course takes approximately 4.5 hours to complete, including skills practice and skills testing

BLS is geared towards prehospital providers, like EMTs, paramedics, fire fighters, and in-facility hospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

This Instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics.

BLS Renewal Course takes approximately 3 hours to complete, including skills practice and testing

CPR/AED with Remote Skills Validation is a new option from the American Safety & Health Institute that gives you the freedom to take blended training with live, online remote skills verification. With RSV, students benefit from real-time feedback and guidance from instructors to correctly demonstrate the required skills and complete certification.

Included is the blended course, digital certification card, remotes skill video. AHSI will ship a manikin and training supply kit. A return call tag will be included for the return of the manikin. The manikin must be returned for certification access to be granted to the student.

Currently only CPR/AED for adult patients is offered.

Heartsaver First Aid is geared towards anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

Heartsaver First Aid Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid Blended Learning Course and teaches information needed for first aid training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA Instructor.

Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is geared towards anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Blended Learning Course and is designed to teach students information needed for first aid, CPR, and AED training.

Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor.

This course will prepare you to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies involving adults and meets OSHA/workplace requirements. This is a blended learning course including an online portion and an instructor-led classroom skill session.

The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class portion and must be taken on a PC or tablet with a high speed Internet connection.Allow approximately 2 hours 5 minutes to complete the online portion.Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a digital certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.

First Aid/CPR/AED with Remote Skills Validation is a new option from the American Safety & Health Institute that gives you the freedom to take blended training with live, online remote skills verification. Heartsaver CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver CPR AED Blended Learning Course and teaches information needed for CPR and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA Instructor.

Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor

The online portion can be completed in 1.75 hours, and the hands-on skills session can be completed in 45-90 minutes

Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion Card, valid for two years

The AHA Heartsaver CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.

This course is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. This course uses AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

 PALS is geared towards healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

HeartCode PALS is an online comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development.

Students who successfully complete the online portion of the course receive a certificate granting them access to a PALS Hands-on Skills Session with an AHA PALS Instructor. Students must successfully complete both the online portion and the hands-on skills session to receive a PALS Provider course completion card.

Online Portion: approximately 6-9 hours depending on the level of knowledge and clinical experience of the student.

You now have a choice in pediatric healthcare education from the first provider of resuscitation training in the United States. The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) class from the American Red Cross is the scientifically equivalent and educationally superior choice. Not only does it include the latest science-based curriculum, but with options that allow you to streamline your training and improve skill retention, it can help you better serve your smallest patients.

By combining online coursework with an in-person skills session, the eLearning option allows you to learn at your own pace – and in the place, and on the device, you like best.

Throughout the course, our interactive scenarios will help you understand the often-nuanced facets of pediatric care and will help improve your clinical decision-making skills.

After completing the online portion of course, and passing the final written exam, you'll attend an in-person skills session where you'll demonstrate your PALS skills to a certified Red Cross instructor. Once you've passed both sections of the course, you'll receive a two-year Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
